We need the completed brief at least 7 working days before you wish the email to the database to be sent out.
I feel it is more common to use 'wish' intransitively, even though the above works. Would you say 'wish for' in the above or leave it as a transitive verb?

This seems common enough to me, but I don't think that 'wish' is more often intransitive. ' Here we have an infinitive clause as object.
