Wish

Hi,

As far as I know, using 'wish+would' with inanimate subjects is restricted. For example, 'I wish it would stop raining', 'I wish the prices would go down'.

Would saying ' I wish the weather would be cooler' sound as natural as ' I wish the weather were cooler' ?
What would the differences be , if any?

Thanks.
