Wish

I wish you didn't see/hadn't seen such a show, the actors did a cringe-making performance and the audience was dreadfully treated. Could someone correct this for me? Thanks in advance.

The sentence is faulty because it is comma spliced. It needs to be separated into two sentences since a semicolon seems too weak as well. I wish you hadn't seen such a show.

Maj, the difference lies in whether the person/s you're talking to actually saw the show or they didn't.
"I wish you hadn't seen it" means the person/s in question actually saw the show. Your wish can't be fulfilled; it's too late.
"I wish you didn't see it" means that you expect they will not see it. They have not seen it yet, so your wish may still become a reality.
