Wish

-I wish someone trusted me a little bit more.
-I wish someone would trust me a little bit more.

Are the two sentences correct?

Top answer

Grammatically they're okay, but the use of "someone" would be odd unless there is a special context. Someone usually means "anyone", whereas trust is usually something expected from a particular person known to you. Cheers John.
