wipe off hair, purchased by Bank

Please insert the plastic pipe into the tap so that water can reach upto the bucket which lies far away from the tap.
After bathing, I wipe off my hair to make it dry.
I heard the news that the company CFCI has been purchased by Bank of America. (please suggest to me more appropriate word in place of "purchase" here)

Actually I wanted to fill my bucket, which lied far away from the tap, without keeping bucket under the tap. So I took a lengthy pipe and inserted one end of it into the tap so that water from tap flows to the other end which I kept inside the bucket.

Now could you understand it?
