wine or wines?

Hi,

It is my understanding that saying "Do you like an apple?" is incorrect, I need to say "apples" to refer to the food in general. But what about the cases of wine or cheese? Usually they are uncouttables but there many kinds of wines or cheeses.

So, would you say, "Do you like wines?" instead of "wine"?

Thank you,
M
