Win lose a spot in ranking

I saw online, is possible to correct way you say it?

No one has won or lost a spot in the rankings since yesterday. The same people are ranked the same. The person ranked number 3 is still third, fourth place is still fourth etc...

How would you write that

Is gained correct?

Thanks
