Hi CJ.I came across the below and I became confuse because it is like earlier but 'will' is used instead of 'going to'.Will you be home earlier tomorrow?

I came across the sentence below, and I became confused because it is like earlier but 'will' is used instead of 'going to'.
Will you be home earlier tomorrow?

Yes. You could have asked the same question about the dialog we were discussing earlier.

'Will you be at home tomorrow evening?' 'No................'

The question can be phrased with "will" or with "going to", as shown below.

Will you be at home ...? / Are you going to be at home ...?

That's because the questioner can ask while assuming that there is a plan (Are you going to ...?) or while not assuming anything and thus remaining neutral (Will you ...?) Only the person he's talking to knows whether there's a plan or not.
