Will/can vs. would/could

A. Not only can I do the job, but also I will do the job whatever it takes.
B. Not only could I do the job, but also I would do the job whatever it takes.

1. Which do you think is better to say for an interview? Do you think A means I'm less confident that can't really do the job?

2. What is the difference between them?
3. I often hear that 'could' and 'would' are indirect, but I don't really understand what it means. Please explain.
