Will you take me swimming / to swimm tomorrow?

Hello.

When do we have to use the verb take (to go somewhere with someone) with -ing form and when with to infinitive?

- Will you take me swimming tomorrow?
- Will you take me to swimm tomorrow?

Thanks.

I don't think there's any fixed rule. The "ing" is more common, but as in you're example, both are possible. I can't think of an activity where the infinitive is preferred.
