Will you give me some advice?

Hello. One of my friends asked me about English. He is thinking of printing some messages on T-shirts. He joins a volunteer group. The sentences he made are, "Please drive slowly for small animals." and "The area where a precious animal inhabits". I think "animals" is better. Is there any comment about these?

"The area where [a precious animal] or [precious animals] live" is not a sentence. What is he trying to say? ("lives" is a better choice than "inhabits" in my opinion)
