Will you correct my translation pls?

Hi everyone who is reading this thread! I have translated a short excerpt into English and would like you to help me find the errors in it. Thanks in advance!

Why are there so many long-livers in this area? It is partly because of their lifestyle. By 11 am on the day that we met, Tonino had already milked four cows, chopped a load of wood, slaughtered a calf and walked six miles along the filed with a flock of sheep. Now, during his first respite for the day, he invites his teenage children, grandson and guests to the table. His wife Jovanna, a strong woman with intelligent eyes, unwraps a roll of carte de music, thin as paper bread, fills the glasses with red wine and chops peckorino, homemade cheese, with confident and accruate movements. One can see immediately that she is a homemaker.

Why do so many people enjoy a long life in this area? (long-livers just sounds strange, I was imagining long bits of offal, liver the organ). It is partly because of their lifestyle.
