...will you become...

Hi! I've been thinking about a sentence i read sometime ago. At first the sentence sounds weird but when i think more about it, it seems as it is well written. I would like to hear your oppinion of it. The sentence is: To have a precious
someone to protect will you become truly strong.

Thank you for your time.

Hello Anon It's not really idiomatic English, unfortunately. The sense seems to be: 1. If you have a precious someone to protect, you will become truly strong.
