Could I trouble you to tell me whether there exists any difference of nuance between

a) His urge for revenge will never infect her.

b) His urge for revenge would never infect her.

?

B is more hypothetical than A.. I don't know what you mean here by 'infect'. Do you mean eg his urge for revenge will never cause her to feel the same urge?

I don't know what you mean here by 'infect'. Do you mean eg his urge for revenge will never cause her to feel the same urge?
