Will vs. would

Hi,

I've read the archived post on modals, and I'm still not sure whether to use "will" or "would" in this sentence:

If there will (would) be another meeting, I will (would) submit my essay then.

My first choice is "will" because that's how I'm used to saying it; but I think if I were to follow the rules, the word to use is "would." Do I need to retrain my ear?

Thanks.

Your sentence strikes me as awkward. Try this instead: If there is going to be another meeting, I will submit my essay then.
