Will or would

Hi,
I am not sure about the choice of will/would in the following sentence. I would appreciate it if you could elaborate a bit. Is there a thumb rule for such situations?

There is a slight chance that I might not come in today. In that case I will/would work on the project from home.

Thanks,
MG.

Use "will" If you are doing something in the future you "will" do it.
