Will or would?

Question

Here is my question. While I was writing a question, I encountered an issue. can you check if this sentence is right?

"If I was the writer, I would use it as a countable noun so that it will/would(?) sound more specific.

While I've been studying english on my own for long, the proper use of "Would" is terribly difficult to me. I really hate "Would", which makes me stay in chaos.

I can understand the use of "would" in a main clause. However, I ,sometime, am at my wits end about deciding if "would" should be used in a subordinate clause, especially when there is already "would" in the main clause of s subordinate clause like the above.

There are two subordinate clauses in the sentence. One is "If clause" and the other is "So that clause".
I know that I have to use the past form in the if clause because clearly, I am not the writer, and that "would" should be used in the main clause because I am just imagining the situation, so "Will" isn't appropriate in the main clause.

Then, which from should I use after the "So that clause". will or would?
Should I use "Would" because I am imagining the situation by using "Would" in the main clause?
Or should I use "Will".
None of the grammar books I've referred to has explained how to use "Would" in a subordinate clause

Join the club! would is a difficult word to master.

would in the so-that clause matches would in the main clause. That's the way to do it. It's almost a chain of if's:

If I were the writer, I would use it as a countable noun.
If I used it as a countable noun, it would sound more specific.

Make sense?

I have one more question. I am sorry to bother you again.

Let's imagine a situation.

My parents is scheduled to come back from their trip Tomorrow.
My younger sister did something wrong, and I think she should confess her fault to her parents as soon as/when they come back.
But she is determined to hide it from them.
I am going to advise her to confess.

No.1
"If I was/were you, I would confess my fault to them as soon as/when they would come/come(?) back"

No.2
"If I was/were you, I would confess to them that I did something wrong as soon as/when they would come/come(?) back"

No1 may be simpler and easier to understand, But I would like to point out No2.
As you can see, There are two more subordinate clauses In No.2
One is That clause, and the other is as soon as/when clause.
In no.2, I didn't used "would" in "that clause" with an idea it's unnecessary to use "Would" because I was going to report "a fact".
This is my question.
Even in this situation it's clear that my parents come back tomorrow, should we use "Would" instead of "present tense" in the time clause?
