"Will" or "Going to"

Hi All


I have a simple question. Which one is correct?


How old are you going to be on your birthday this Saturday?

How old will you be on your birthday this Saturday?

If you say "either", please also answer this.... I thought it should be "going to" because it is something predetermined, not "spontaneous". How come "will" can be a correct option too?
