Will or Going to?

Hello all,

I just encountered this question and not sure about using future simple (will) here. Is "going to" a better alternative here? I'm confused because of the following statement after the question. Can we take that as an evidence and use "going to" in the first sentence. Thanks a lot in advance.

"Will you be all right on the ferry? You know, ferry is the only way to go there and you get seasick whenever you get on a ferry.
