Will maximize my contribution / contributions

Hi,

When the interviewer asks me why I want to work in the IT department, I want to answer the sentence below.

Question:
1: Any word can replace "maximize"?
2: Any word can replace "contribution"?

3: Contribution or contributions?


Sentence:

I have excellent IT skills.

I want to work in the IT department, because I believe that doing so will maximize my contributions to your company.
