Will in the "if - part"

Is it possible to put "will" in the "if-part" in the sentence like this:

If you will fill in the form now, you cam hand it in to the receptionist.

If I'm not mistaken, it is possible, since "will" sometimes can play a role of a modal verb. Hence, a standard rule about Present Simple in the "if-part" doesn't work here. Am I right?
