Will hear

Please consider the following text, taken from BBC NEWS:

'Schools must ensure blameless members of staff do not have their careers wrecked by false allegations, a union's annual conference will hear.

What does 'a union's annual conference will hear' mean?

How can I say this in other words?

I hope the use of other words will help me understand the meaning of the sentence.

In particular 'will hear' is particularly obscure to me.

Thank you

It is an inverted way of saying: A union's annual conference will hear (that) schools must ensure blameless members of staff do not have their careers wrecked by false allegations. In other words, one of the conference speakers will give out that message.

So: it hasn't been given out yet.

It's an anticipation.

Is that right?

Yes. "will" is something that will happen (is planned) for the future. Perhaps the abstracts of the presentations have been released, so the content is already known.
