~will have arranged that the~ (what structure?)

I want a wife who will have arranged that the children are fed and ready for bed before my guests arrive so that the children do not bother us.

It's difficult for me to understand.

Q1) Is 'will have' the future perfect?

Q2) Is object of 'arranged' the underline? (I get confused how 'that' clause can come if it is an object of 'arrange')

Top answer

Q1) Is 'will have' the future perfect? -- Yes, or past-in-the-future. Q2) Is object of 'arranged' the underline?

  • Q1) Is 'will have' the future perfect?
  • -- Yes, or past-in-the-future.
  • Q2) Is object of 'arranged' the underline?
  • -- It is more than that; it is this: that the children are fed and ready for bed before my guests arrive (I get confused how 'that' clause can come if it is an object of 'arrange') -- It can be a noun clause.
  • Here it is in another structure: That the children are fed and ready for bed before my guests arrive is my fondest dream.
