Will go home or will be going home?

Hi. Let us pretend there are some contestants whe will be dropped from the contest and the following could be what the judge might say to some of them. Which one is correct? Or are both correct depending on context?

... OK, the final decision is here. It is unfortunate that some (of you) will be going home (will go home? - OK?).

OK, the final decision is here. It is unfortunate that some of you will be going home ( i would add an extra here like, tonight/ today). This one sounds the best to me in the UK.

Both are gramatically correct.

In my eyes "will be going home" indicates that they are going home in the near future. Thus often a date follows. Like "today" or this" week". But will go home is correct as well.
For instance:
... that some of you will be going home tonight.

The more idiomatic expression in that context is "will be going home".

The judge will make a decision (or has made a decision). Because of this decision, some of you will be going home, i.e., some of you will find yourselves in the situation of going home. An alternate way of saying this is Some of you will have to go home.

To my ear Some of you will go home soun
