You ask about "will be + V3", which is "will be kept" for the verb "keep", and yet your example uses "will + V1". (The other part with + ing is consistent with your example.)

It depends on whether you want to communicate a sense of continuing action.

1) Bring items which will keep you comfortable during the trip.
2) The authorities will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings.

In 1), you bring a blanket, let's say, because that keeps you warm. There is no continuing action that the blanket performs, so it's extremely unlikely that anyone would say "will be keeping" in that sentence.
In 2), the authorities continue to observe the proceedings actively and carefully from beginning to end, maybe to be sure that nothing illegal happens. Here you could also say "will keep", but then there isn't the same focus on the continuing engagement of the authorities in the action.
