"Will" after "whether"

"Whether we will win or lose, is only up to what we choose."

Can I use "will" after "whether" here or do i have to say "Whether we win or lose..."? The reason I'm asking is because the "will" fits perfectly into a song that I've written, but I'm kind of uncertain about its grammatical correctness.

Whether you're going to assure me or confront me with the undesired truth, thank you:)

Be assured that with or without 'will' is fine. In a prose sentence you shouldn't use the comma, but commas at the end of a line are often added in poetry and lyrics. Clive
