Will

Is this sentence correct?

Paul is playing volleyball at the beach under the burning sun, he will get sunburned.

And can I use is going to instead of will?

It's not one sentence. It's two, and it should be written as shown above. Grammatically it's fine, and you can use 'is going to' instead of 'will'. In fact, it's preferable.
