Hi,
Could somebody please have a look at this paragraph?
This law, as well as the subsequent regional law on spatial planning, imposed restrictions or even prohibition on building activity in various kinds of areas (for instance, volcanoes, tops of the mountains, common lands) because of either aesthetic or environmental reasons. In particular, building was forbidden within a 300-metre wide stripe along the coastline1, with the exception of urban areas already classed by the local masterplansas historical centres or areas designated for new developments . In addition, both these laws required that a PTP* planned those areas where building restrictions had been imposed by law. As a consequence, fourteen PTPs were approved by the regional government, and local masterplans had to make their zoning system consistent with that of the PTPs. However, thirteen out of those fourteen plans were declared unlawful2 by the Regional Administrative Court.
(* NOTE: what a PTP is has previously been stated – it is a particular type of spatial plan)
1 is it correct to refer to a buffer zone this way (width is important)?
2 I'm not sure that ‘unlawful’ is a correct choice here (I meant 'against the laws') ... but I couldn't come up with something better
