Why you don't take supplements?

"Why you don't take supplements? " is this correct?
I don't like to say " Why don't you take supplements" because it sounds like I am asking them to take supplements while I want just to know the reason as to why they don't take them.

Context would tell you whether a "why don't you..." was a suggestion or an actual request for information.

You could use the rather informal "How come you..." to ensure the right interpretation.
