Hi,

Why is there no toilet anywhere?

Best wishes, Clive

Clive is right, as anywhere means in at least one spot.

"All over the place" means "everywhere in that place". That would be a lot of toilets

how about "oh, my ***, where is a toilet indeed?"

do they have the same meaning?

Hi,

how about "oh, my ***, where is a toilet indeed?"

'Indeed' can be omitted, and is not natural in this sentence.

This version suggests you need a toilet immediately. The other sentences we have been looking at do not strongly suggest that you need one.

Such direct references to a need for a toilet are not as common

if someone need a toilet immediately, how should he say?

Hi,

I didn't say there were none. I said they were less common than you might think.

In the region where I live, the word 'toilet' is just not considered very polite.

Best wishes, Clive
