I like to write a synop after a draft of a script, so I can get an ADD-friendly summary of what the **** I just wrote. If what I wrote in the script doesn't make sense, the defects are usually easy to spot in the synop, since they're condensed and unmasked by dialogue. Once I see the problems in the synop, I fix them in the synop, then go back to the script and conform the script to the synop.
