why sometimes the pres. simple and sometimes the pres. cont. ?
0 Hi there,02br 02br 00Here are two sentences taken from a book called "Success" (Pre-Int. level), a coursebook for teenagers.02br 02br 001. These days, children and teenagers read lots of books by authors like Meg Rosoff, JK Rowling and Philip Pullman.02br 002. These days, more young people are using libraries.02br 02br 00I was wondering why on earth sometimes there's the present simple (ie. 01i00read02i00) and sometimes, in a very similar context, there's the present continuous (ie. 01i00are using02i00)02br 00Why is that? Could I simply say "are reading" and "use" ?02br 02br 00thanks 0-
