Why so many different patterns?

In the following examples, which pattern would you choose? Could you help me understand this? I have no idea how you guys decide which to choose.

A) It isn't true that no effort/efforts is/are required to express what you think.

B) You should make as many efforts/much effort as possible to express what you think.

C) It's wrong to think that it doesn't take any effort/any efforts to express what you think.
