Why people think that "I could care less" = "I could not care less"?
Hello,
In the mind, they are totally not same with each other.
I show my idea of them and please any native speaker give your suggestions and commends.

1. ---It would be possible for me to care less than I already do---that is , I care somewhat.
2. --It would be impossible for me to care any less about this than I already do- that is, that I don't care at all.
