Why people attend college or university?

According statistic these days more than 70& of young population is attending college or university. This enormous percent reveals that higher education is inevitable part of today society. Related to this fact, there are a lot of reasons why people extend their educational background.
First of all, empowering knowledge is what for people gains higher education. University or college is defined as institutions where you can improve your knowledge, because they are on the top of educational system. Additionally on this reason, I will mention the second one, career. Better knowledge, better career. Having nice job and increasing your career is connected with achieving at least Bachelor degree. The competition in market of employing is as arena with lions in ancient Rome. Just to demonstrate the importance of higher education I will allege it with the fact that even for lower positions as secretary in middle ranked companies is required Bachelor degree. So, you can imagine what is needed for upper positions.
Furthermore the social status is one of the reasons for attending university or college. For instance children of rich families enroll in best universities just to keep their high positions in the society and children of middle class families are forced by their parents to attend university or college just to achieve better position in the society. I feel free to declared aiming better social status as the most important reason for attending university or college.
Another reason is getting friends during university or college, because are the best place for meeting new people from other culture, societies, social statuses etc. Going in university is approximately when you have 18 or 19, so you are mature enough to know who will be your friend. In future those people might be your business partners.
All in all, although there are a number of reasons that people try to attend college and university, in my viewpoint, the three important reasons are increasing their opportunity to succeed in their work, getting new friends and learning new cultures, and getting confident in themselves.
