why not "where did you born?"

Hi.
I am trying to know that this sentence which is "where have you been born?"

I think it should be correct like this
Where did you born?
But my textbook said that where were you born?

I wondering why not where did you born?

No. It's a noun. Only verbs can have participles. And only verbs can be used with "did". So "Where did you birth?" is impossible. That would be like "Where did you teacup?" or "Where did you river" or "Where did you car?" and those don't make sense.
