Why no need for definite article before noun in plural (Mnet and Cyworld charts)?
Hi. Please help. I think I have seen many sentences without the definite article "the" in front of a noun in plural like "Mnet and Cyworld charts" (Please see no. 2). I think they are correct. If they are correct, why is that?
1. The digital single topped the Mnet chart. (Here the definite article is definitely needed, I think.) 2. The digital single topped Mnet and Cyworld charts. (Why is there no need for the definite article "the" before the phrase "Mnet and Cyworld charts?)
