Why no articles before these countable nouns?

Hi. Is it correct not to put the article in front of the words "animal's" and "woman" in the following two phrases? If yes, why is it? Thank you for your help in advance.

1. people's or animal's behavior
2. the destiny of woman in a man's world

The first one is wrong, or at least very awkward. The usual term is 'animal behavior'. Here a noun modifies another noun.

'woman' is being used as an uncountable noun. It means 'womankind', i.e., all women in general.
