Hi. Please help. I am sorry for incomplete example sentences but please tell me why they don't have English articles in front of the words "date" and "tide" when they seem to be uncountable nouns?
1. Both time and date are ... 2. Both time and tide wait ...
How about the phrase "a breed of dog"? Why isn't there an English article in front of the word "dog"?Thank you in advance.
