Why no article "the"?

I thought when you have a name for a unique place/thing, the general rule is that you should place an article, but why not here?

you will be done on (the????) earth

... the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and (the???) earth, and in Jesus Christ ...

" heaven and earth are used almost as proper nouns here. The usage is abstract. We are not talking literally about the earth as a solid planet; we are talking about the 'world' of the earth, including all the animals, plants, mountains, lakes, and, most particularly, the people who live on the earth.
