Why isn't it getting easier to cope without

Hi,

Can someone explain what this phrase means? - "Why isn’t it getting easier to cope without?"

It's from the song called "The Concept Stays" by Comeback Kid, and bellow is a part of the lyrics,

I fear my options are running out.
Why isn't it getting easier to cope (to cope) without (without)?
To cope (to cope) without (without)?
And I can't get a peace of mind, and my head keeps racing.

<<here is a link to the complete lyrics.>>

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello, Keith - and welcome to English Forums. Well, to 'cope without something' means to be able to do without it, to be able to function or be satisfield without it. However, as usual, I can come to no clear conclusion on what these pop song lyrics are supposed to mean.
