Why is this funny?

"Comic Sans walks into a bar, bartender says, 'We don't serve your type.'"

"We don't serve your type" seems to occur in so many English jokes... (and also with mushrooms??!!) But I just can't see why it is so funny? Is there anything about culture that I don't understand?

Thanks for your answer...^^
