Why is there no article ?

? quote of an English-language book:

In older children, indications include a pressure gradient between the left ventricle and aorta of 50 mm Hg or greater.

Why is there no article before the word "aorta"?

You mean, if nouns are listed, the article is enough to put just before the first noun ?

I have found, when two nouns connected by and, and both have the article "the", then the second article may not write.

And what about this sentence?

Pressure should be carefully monitored, and hypertension should be appropriately treated.
