Why is the shoemaker different from the others

He is different from other shoemakers because he didn't join the big shoemaking companies for the money they offered as the others did. He thought these companies considered the shoemakers as machines who mean only to use their hands to execute the irrational instructions of these companies in making shoes rather than using their experience and skills.
