Why is it wrong? (grammar question)

Doubtful industrialists started calling these self-appointed experts 'jacks of all trades and masters of none.' These experts are still with us, and as a result so does the phrase.

The exerpt above is used for a grammar correction question. 'does' underlined is wrong.

Q1) Is so is the pharase correct? (actually, I don't know why so ~ the phrase comes... can you explain it please?)

Q2) Does phrase mean 'jacks of all trades and masters of none?'

does - have action

is - be Verb, no action

In this sentence, the first part "These experts are still..." so the latter part should also have the verb corresponding with "are".

And there are no actions, so do/does shouldn't be used.

2) yes, a famous phrase indeed.

Thank you for the answer^^

He likes that car, so does he.

He is a student, so am I.

He is a nurse, so are you.

I've thought, the element between so and __ is determined by '__.' e.g. he does, I am and you are....

Whether or not the first part of the sentence(~~are), shouldn't the answer is and not are? (becau

Corresponding with "are" (in the first part of the sentence), and the answer is "is".
