Why is Eric and Arian Prounced "Air"....

Why is Eric and Arian/Aryan pronounced "air"-ian or "air"-ic? When you pronounce Ar or Er it comes out as "Are" and "Err".? If you try saying "Eri" it comes off as "err-e" and if you try pronouncing "ari" it comes out as "R-e". Neither sounds like "Air". Where does that come from?

English pronunciation varies. Not all English speakers would pronounce Eric as "air"-ic. Some do and some pronounce it as e-rik, with the letter e pronounced the same as the e in the words bed and get.

How exactly to pronounce words and names depends on which kind of English you learn.
