Why I want a wife?

I read an essay entitled 'Why I want a wife'.Shouldn't it be 'Why do I want a wife' grammatically?

No, if you add the word 'do' then that would turn the title into a question. I'm sorry I can't really think of an explanation beyond that. Does anyone else have any thoughts?

It can be grammatically correct, but in the negative sense.

On why I don't want a wife

Also, the introduction of a simple comma adds a whole new dimension to the title.

Why,I want a wife!
