Why do you want to participate in this class?

Dear teachers and friends,

I’m trying to answer this question and I would be grateful if you could proof read my writing and maybe you have better idea how to make it much more better.

The question is = Why do you want to participate in this class?

And here is my answer...
I want to improve my knowledge and technical skills in information technology especially related to UNIX technology.

With the IT job market is more competitive nowadays, the only thing that differentiate from one candidate with another is their extra skills set and knowledge.

I always wanted to learn UNIX since I was in university. But because there are lack of exposure to this technology and hard to get support make the learning process is more difficult. Fortunately, with this UNIX class, I believe that it would be a great chance and opportunity for me to learn it as much as possible and be a better UNIX admin/engineer in the future.

Besides that, UNIX and IT is something we can’t separate from each other. Most of secure and stable technology is based on UNIX and what makes it more impressive is it’s free and we can modify the source code.

Hmm…how about that…I’m out of idea right now, maybe I’ll expand this writing in future when I got better idea.
Your advice and comments pertaining to this issue would be most appreciated. Thanks
