Why "do" when "do"

Peace ...

can i have a small lesson concerning the use of "do" before the verb why should i use it sometimes before verbs..

another thing, what is the best way to construct an imperative phrase containing an order

like play with your toys or something (with an order)...why do i need to used the "do" when i am commanding someone at the beginning??

You need "do" for questions and negative sentences.
Do you ever study? I do not think so.

Do you mean, "Do your homework!" "Do the dishes!" ??

It's not necessarily part of the imperative structure. It's part of the idiom.

You don't get it? Do the math!
