Hi,

You didn't ask about differences.

They are certainly not interchangable.

Perhaps you should wirte a few sentences using these phrases, so that we can check them for you.

The doctor highly influenced the project's outcome.

The project was highly influenced by the doctor's high reputation. Not good style to repeat 'high'. Find another word.

Hello Clive, as I understood to say "high reputation" is incorrect, is it not?
also it is incorrect to say highly influenced or again high reputation.

So why is it incorrect?

According to the Cambridge English, is states e.g.

"heavily influenced" is OK but "highly influenced" is not OK.

or

Someone can have a "considerable reputation" or a "well deserved reputation" but not a "high reputation".

That is why I'm asking the question, "why can one not say "highly influenced" or high reputation" etc. as per my vatious examples.
